Adobe fonts is an incredible resource to search and find new fonts for your adobe apps but its costly and the adobe apps are not for everyone. I still love using it as a resource in real life. I had my High School students open it on their computer, Ipad or even their phone and writing their name on the website then using tracing paper tracing over the font they chose and make an outline of each letter. This was then glued on top of some cardstock paper or even manila folder paper, that they could cut out the letters with some x-acto knifes. This was for sure a tedious process but it encouraged some hand-eye coordination I kept reminding me that it was important to take their time with it because it was the first time consuming part of the process. I also reminded them it is okay to start over and there was plenty more material to encourage that. Then you grab the cut out paper and place it on top of some annealed 20 gauge copper(or brass for the gold color). once you have gauged the thickness needed on the rolling mill you then roll the paper and the metal together and my favorite part is seeing the reveal name be pressed into the metal . This is when it was visible that the kids unnderstood the importance of their meticulousness and they saw the fruit of their labor
