I make conceptual work that..

shares a story. I have a deep care for concept and design thinking of how they’’ come together to reveal the narrative to the viewer. The work reconciles my deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the practice of creating meaning-filled objects. I grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico amidst women that loved crafts, they instilled in me a deep appreciation for tradition. My work reflects those traditions by the techniques and topics I choose to talk about.

My objects…

are experimental and often depart from a question. wondering if a certain technique will work, or if an idea can be developed in a certain material. Sometimes I enjoy making objects that don’t have a story attached to them and can just be beautiful.
